April Anela Pettit

April Anela Pettit was born on April 6, 1950, at Maui Memorial Hospital in Wailuku. Raised on Maui, she graduated from Baldwin High School. After some time away, April returned to Maui with her husband and two children in 1989. They later settled at her ancestral house in 1991.

She worked at Hasegawa General Store before getting hired by the Hawaii D.O.E as an accountant. She was based at Hana High School and managed the accounting for several Schools across Maui County from 1996 to 2015.

At the age of 69, April passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 31, 2019.

April is survived by her husband, Robert Pettit Sr., Daughter Cassandra "Sandy" Wischemann (Jolyn) Pi'imauna, Son, Robert Pettit Jr., her Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings: Dorothy Kamalu Kaho'okele, Evelyn (Patrick Moniz Sr. Dec'd), Frederick (Ipo) Calhau Jr, Della (Bobby) Honokaupu, and David (Barbara) Calha; numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

April lives on in our hearts as the cheerful, generous person we all knew and will always miss.
