He served in the army in World War II and the Korean War. When he met Barbara they decided to live their dream, so they moved to Barbados and opened a dive shop. Barbara and Gene brought their two children, Wendy and David, but it was in Barbados that Gena was born. The ocean was turquoise, the sand was white, and the family spent most of their time in the water or in the beach. Eugene is survived by his two daughters Gena Sansone and Wendy Tinker.
